Kaithi ko Diwali festival se pahle 25 October, 2019 ko release kiya gaya tha. ye critics and audience se positive reviews ke liye khula, direction, screenplay, performances, musical score, cinematography, and action sequences ki taarif kee. positive reception ke baad, film box-office success ho gayi, jisne 110 crore se jyada ki kamayi ki. film ko August 2020 me International Indian Film Festival Toronto (IIFFT) me official screening ke liye chuna gaya tha aur isne respectively two Ananda Vikatan, three Norway Tamil Film Festival, SIIMA aur four Zee Cine Awards jeete the. Lokesh duara directed Vikram (2022) me story ko follow kiya jaata hai, dono movies ke saath niyojit Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) ka hissa banne ke saath-saath Kaithi 2 title ek sequel bhee hai.
