Two cinematic parts mein se pahla, film Sivudu ko follow karti hai, jo ek adventurous young man hai, jo Mahishmati ki former queen Devasena ko bachane me apne pyaar Avantika ki help karta hai, jo ab raaja Bhallaaladeva ke tyrannical rule ke under ek sequel hai. Film ki story Rajamouli ke father V. Vijayendra Prasad duara likhi gayi thee, jinhonne unhe randomly Sivagami ke baare me ek story sunayi, jo ek woman hai jo ek nadee paar karte time apne haath me ek bachche ko le jaati hai.
Aur kuch saal baad Kattappa ke baare me, jisne Rajamouli ko chakit kar diya. Mahabharat ke saath unke aakarshan aur Amar Chitra Katha and Chandamama ki story me unke interest ko aur badha diya.
